Pepakura Bust

Recently composed by Ronald Wu, one of ATEC's MFA students and Professor Andrew Scott. Ronald created the 3D model and built the pepakure sculpture while Professo Andrew Scott provided the vision and meticulous bronzed paint job.

ATEC FAB_LAB

This is the Blog Site for the Digital Fabrication Lab at the University of Texas at Dallas School of Art Technology and Emerging Communications. The digital fabrication lab exists to provide students within the school and the wider campus community a place to explore digital fabrication technologies.

Digital Fabrication is the process of additive and subtractive prototyping. Utilizing the latest technology and software at UTD, we are able to transform digital objects into 3D objects in physical space. At Fab Lab we offer multiple services including 3D printing, laser cutting, design work, CNC routers and a large format plotter. All technology offered empowers students and faculty to create with no limitations. We welcome and encourage all students and faculty from any department to Fab Lab.
